SoCoSci at the JEDAI Research Fair

Just a year after its founding, the SoCoSci Lab witnessed FOUR of its students presenting original research at SFU’s annual JEDAI Research Fair!

The JEDAI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Accessibility, and Inclusion) Workgroup organizes this annual fair to celebrate student research that highlights individuals and communities who have been historically underrepresented in the field. (It also sounds like Jedi, which means this is the most principled and the most powerful acronym at SFU.)

This was SoCoSci’s first year presenting at the fair. Cy Butler, Arushi Khanna, Ella Hamamoto, and Suhavi Kaur all showcased original scholarship from the lab, while Dr. Xie stood nearby and looked proud.
